Knowing when knowledge does not apply

Verified bounded test

A stored research claim can remain uncertain in its intended dataset and be out of scope elsewhere. The test also checked that its source remained traceable.

Method, evidence provenance and scientific limitations

One restricted controlled-English-to-structured-input bridge supplied an explicitly scoped synthetic claim (dataset v1) dependent on evidence with UNKNOWN status. The native kernel was queried in dataset v1 and v2; its explanations retained source attribution. Dataset v1 returned UNKNOWN; v2 returned OUT_OF_SCOPE. This extends the earlier V3 context demonstration through a narrow integration step. It does not demonstrate unrestricted language understanding, independently verified truth, automatic discovery of dependencies or a comparison with conventional systems.

Release note: Native uncertainty-versus-applicability handling with retained source provenance in one controlled fixture.
